Cavallaro Foods

Cavallaro Foods is a specialty foods distributor founded by Mark Cavallaro. Cavallaro Specialty Foods opened its doors in 1986 after purchasing a small specialty foods distribution company called Gene Golas Distributing. The first warehouse was located on Anderson Avenue in Syracuse and served customers across Central New York, the North Country, and Southern tier. In 1989, Cavallaro purchased A.J. Altman Distributing Co. in Rochester and began servicing the Rochester and Buffalo area as well.

The Cavallaro full-service program is one thing that has distinguished them in the industry.

In 2004, Cavallaro Foods became part of River Valley Foods and the combined company has continued to offer a high level of service to customers across the Northeast US.
